Welcome Home

On March 26th Dina and Hannah were discharged from the hospital after 9 days. It was a long and exhausting stay at MGH but in the end it was the best thing for them. As you can see Dina was a little bit excited to be outside for the first time in almost a week.

We were very nervous about going home because there were no nurses there to help us out. Who was going to tell us what to do? How would we know what we were doing was right? So many questions that we were so unsure of. And on top of that we were coming home to a flooded basement. Needless to say we were a little overwhelmed.

We did however get a nice welcome home, courtesy of our wonderful neighbors...

Once we got inside we showed Hannah around her new home. From what we could tell she really liked it! It was then nice to be able to sit on our own couches and bed as well as watch our own TV and help ourselves to our own food. Because trust me, we had just about enough of the hospital food and the below chair bed is not nearly as comfortable as I'm sure it looks. After spending 8 nights on that I can say that with certainty.

All that said, it has been quite an experience so far. We're sleeping little and learning lots and we wouldn't have it any other way.
